We design light as part of how spaces work
The Lumbio story began in 2010, when Michael Blazicek founded the brand with a focus on reliable and efficient industrial lighting. Technical projects gradually developed into a broader role: designing lighting systems that connect performance, comfort, controls and long-term operation.
Quality lighting has a major impact on how people perceive, use and manage a space. That approach became a core pillar of our work. We still rely on Czech design and manufacturing so we can keep parameters, service and project detail under control.
How the Lumbio brand evolved over time
From a commercial and technical base, we moved towards our own development, manufacturing and systems that work with light quality, control and long-term operating efficiency.
2013
Expansion to Slovakia
We entered the Slovak market and expanded our reach in Central Europe.
2014-2017
Development, manufacturing and process stability
We strengthened development, production capacity, automation and internal processes to keep quality and operational reliability higher.
2018
Connecting research with practice
We linked development with academic and research environments focused on circadian rhythm and biological responses to light.
2019
First biodynamic public-lighting luminaire
We built a biodynamic public-lighting luminaire with separate day and night channels and pilots aimed at reducing light pollution.
2020
Disinfection technologies and further light research
Alongside UV and ozone technologies for healthcare, we continued research projects around light in residential environments.
2021-2023
Bright Light and hundreds of projects
We introduced the full-spectrum Bright Light line with CRI 98.6 and single-chip technology, expanding variants and use cases.
2024-2026
EPC projects and a new generation
We expand into EPC projects and a new Bright Light production generation with lower costs and wider applicability.
Development grounded in practice
Innovation for us is not a spectacular claim. We connect development with measurement, standards and real operating experience. Our public communication therefore speaks carefully about daytime rhythm, visual comfort and concentration in the context of specific design, parameters and control.
